Hi. Im abit worried, I will go and see the doc next week but just want to know what you think. I have a mole on my arm which has always been there but im sure over the past couple of years it's gradually got bigger. There are a couple of hairs growing out of it! Also tonight I have really noticed how raised it feels, never felt like this before and it feels abit funny, tingly feeling and kind of itching.

What is everyone's experience on moles, thanks.

I had malignant maloma twenty years ago. My mole had changed only slightly and was itchy. I was in the states at the time and was treated within a week so didn't need chemo. Please have it checked as if it needs removing it can take up to 8 weeks on the NHS to get the results. Its probably nothing so don't worry but do get it checked!

I am quite a 'moley' person (thanks to my Pa!) and my GP has checked a few out and removed them as necessary. Have you recently been pregnant? Cos he told me that the pregnancy hormones can change moles which is what happened to mine.

They're likely to be fine, but worth going to the GP to have it taken off - they could do it with a local anaesthetic at the surgery for me; totally straight forward and almost painless!
