Tummy pain and fearing the worst

I have had on and off tummy pain after eating for around 2 weeks. It's not every meal but when it does happen, mostly after the evening meal which does tend to be heavier.

I had a pain after eating at 8pm on Friday (curry). Saturday seemed to be fine and we went for a meal out. I was fine this morning after breakfast but then had chicken, chips and sweet corn for lunch and almost straight away started with really bad pain. It lasted 1-4ish, eased off a bit but then has come back and I've not eaten yet. It feels more sore now.

I'm absolutely getting myself in a state about it now as it has been a couple of weeks I have noticed it. I've started logging it since Friday which is why I've written it in detail.

I'm in my 40s and normally good health and fine with food.

How long should I leave it before going to the drs?

Which part of your abdomen is sore? TBH my first thought was gallstones. Definitely book in with your gp

Also I thought gall stones, where is your pain. Get checked out as it could be a number of things, many of them minor.

It's at the front of my tummy and all around my belly button. It felt really sore this morning and has been ok since lunch but I've not eaten a lot today - just a bit of porridge and salad.

Actually more like the part under my belly button

Could be lots of things before anything sinister OP (eg IBS etc). Have a chat with your GP.

Any recurring unexplained pain is worth a visit to the gp
