Have got this awful feeling of fullness in my face. It comes with this wierd kind od dizzy sensation. Its not dizziness really but more a feeling of being unbalanced - does that make sense? Been to the docs and had it all checked out and nothing wrong. Its come and gone for years this but its starting to get on my nerves now. Feel a right fool at the docs cause there's nothing wrong but i've definately got these symptoms. Its making me dead miserable!!! Anyone had anything similar?

A few weeks ago I had a terrible pressure headache for a good 5 or 6 days, feeling of fullness in one side of face and ear, and feeling of being unbalance (I described it like being on a boat, and having giddy legs)
I got quite distressed by it (I don't need any excuse to be anxious about my health)

Went to the Doctors and later in the week had my ears syringed, which helped a lot, but to be honest was feeling a little better by then anyway, and the headaches had nothing to do with my ears i'm sure.

No idea what it was, but it was scary and horrible- I think it must just have been a virus, but boy did I feel rough!

Hope you get better soon!

Thanks. They've put it down to a virus too which is what they always say when the don't have a clue whats wrong with you. Must be a hell of a long virus. You're right it is a horrible feeling. I just want to lie down all the time.

yeah i have this, it goes on for weeks, then stops for weeks, then comes back

loopylou6 · 12/10/2007 13:32

oh and the sensation is very similar to being in a lift, and also if i am feeling ok but then go in a lift, it starts it all off again

Thats exactly what its like.. You have a good few weeks with it and then an absolutely terrible few weeks. Doc says mine isn't vertigo or anything like that. I must admit its got worse since having DD (16mths). Maybe its a hormone thing. They've got a lot to answer for!!!!
