Is DH resting heart rate of 52 BPM too low?

I understand RHR 60+ is normal.

DH is 51, about 2 stone overweight, not an athlete and according to his golf Garmin watch has a RHR of 52 BPM.

Wondering if that’s normal or should he get checked out?

Thanks

They’re not accurate. DH is super fit and has a RHR of 50 but his Suunto says it’s 75.

Tbf I wouldn't actually trust a watch to be 100% accurate anyway. Does he have any concerns about his heart beyond what the watch says?

It is lower than normal but my ex husbands was similar. Worth getting him to see his gp but first check it at different times in another way (count Pulse for 15 seconds and x by 4) to make sure recordings are accurate,

I've worn my fitbit while hooked up to a ECG and it was accurate to within two beats.

Mine is around 45 and the GP said there was nothing wrong with it if it wasn't causing me symptoms. That was from a HR watch, but confirmed by GP at the time.

The only issue is that sometimes I get lightheaded if I stand up too quickly. The GP suggested that I don't stand up quickly...

Mine is between 48 and 55 in my early 50s. I do have symptoms when it goes under 50, mainly because it means it goes into low 40s at night. Otherwise fine. It's usually a sign of good fitness.

I use a Fitbit watch. I had all the tests done by cardiologist and wore a hospital heart rate monitor for 5 days and the results were the same, actually slightly lower.

Thanks all, I'll take his pulse manually as suggested to check, then go from there, I googled and it could be sleep apnea! 😬

Mine fluctuates 47-50 sometimes goes under 40 when I sleep, I get a few symptoms dizziness etc but was checked out by cardiologist a couple of years back and he wasn't worried, but I am much fitter than DH so his numbers worries me slightly.

Thanks again
