Hi everyone,

Has anyone had DVT before? I come off of aspirin last week since having to take it my whole pregnancy. This morning I noticed 4 pea sized lumps coming out of a vein in my left inner thigh spaced about 5cm apart. Doctor saw me and said my leg is swollen and measuring slightly larger and it may be clots. She is going to call me at some point when the hospital can scan me. So worried now !

I have had no pain at all and they arent red or hot to touch just skin coloured.

Has anyone got any experience of this pls?

So worried now!

I had a dvt when I was pregnant with my 1st. My leg was larger and extremely painful. I spent 5 days in hospital on a blood thinning drip. Thank goodness the system is different now. I also had another one 4 years ago. I was sent by ambulance to hospital because I had no other transport. I had a ct scan and an mri, was put on blood thinning injections, then when my blood was thin enough I was on warfarin.
If it is a dvt you will be on injections until after baby is born and probably 6 months of warfarin. They will prick your finger for an inr test and adjust thinners accordingly.

I told a porkie, the cat scan and mri were for something else.
I had a doppler scan, which basically shows blood flow in red and blue, like an ultra sound. Both mine were in my groin and the same leg.
