Admission for anorexia via A&E?

Is this a viable option? Fuller story is in teens section, would really appreciate hearing from parents who have taken this route.

I don't have any experience of this but you sound desperate, you could try A&E, the worse that they could do is refer to/back to mental health team.

yes, school are advising to go to neighbouring trust as own CAMHS no use thanks x

If you go to A&E I don't know if it would be helpful to get a friend to phone them as you leave so that maybe they will be able to line up the right sort of help as soon as she gets there. I say get the friend to phone so they can't turn around and say to you its a gps issue don't come in - as you will already be on your way in.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge will arrive here soon.
