Sudden rash like mark

Last night I noticed a group of dark red spots right at the top of my leg, it resembled a rash but the spots were dark red...almost like what a meningitis rash would look like but I knew it wasn't that as I'm completely fine otherwise.

Anyway ever since I can remember I have been slightly numb on that spot...I can feel it but the sensitivity of the skin is slightly less than everywhere else.

Anyway, I have just had another look and the rash/spots are still there, exactly the same. Do you think it's worth seeing the doctor since I'm completely fine otherwise?

Have you had anything in your pocket lately that's poked you a bit. I only ask because exactly the same thing happened to me as a school girl carrying an afro comb in my pocket in an attempt to defrizz my 80s perm!

If not then it would be worth seeing a GP to see what it is.
