Sick of phone appointments

Just a bit of a rant really.

I've been waiting for a year to be seen at a clinic in my local hospital. I was originally booked in for March, which turned into a telephone appointment because of covid. The appointment was largely useless as my condition needs to be seen in person for the consultant to prescribe.

Was relieved to get an appointment in person for this week... But at the last minute it's been changed to another phone call. They can't prescribe me what I need as it has to be in person, so I'm not sure what the point of it for either me or the specialist is really.

Argh!

Can you call and see if it can be changed to a face to face? Some people might be happy with remote but there might be a certain number of in person appointments so it is worth asking. I have follow up appointments after breast cancer, I basically need someone to actually feel my scars and see them up close, nothing else would do. I am lucky as my doctors in Aus are seeing people. I can't imagine the stress you must be going through.
