Any spots anywhere else? Could it be hand, foot and mouth? This starts with sore throat, fever, rash/blisters around the mouth.

I'd get to the doctor's if I were you

HF&M doesn't always present with all the symptoms, but there does tend to be the sore throat, general malais, and blisters in/around the mouth. Do you have any calamine lotion that you can dab onto the spots around your daughter's mouth? That might help. Avoid acidic fruit juices and so on while the mouth is sore. If it's HF&M then you are infectious for about a week.

I think you're right to get to the doctor's this afternoon. Hope you both feel better soon.
