I went to my GP with excruciating stomach pain last week - had blood tests on Thurs, and this rather high CRP level was the result. The GP hasn't called to discuss it at all, so I don't know what the result might mean. I had a call from the diagnostics clinic to arrange an ultrasound, but the first appointment is 5 weeks away.
I did call the surgery, but after queuing for 25 mins was told that the GP wouldn't be calling.
The pain is miles better than it was but I still feel occasionally sweaty and out of sorts with an upset stomach.
I don't know what to think, shouldn't the doctor call to explain the result? Google tells me that 51 is quite high, but not morbidly so. I only know the result because I looked it up on the NHS app, otherwise I'd have been none the wiser.
