Burst blood vessel in eye

Yesterday a blood vessel burst in my eye. It’s happened a couple of times in the last year in the same place. Seems to ache a bit and then burst. Anyone know whether I should get it checked by optician or GP?

Actually just checked photos and it’s different eyes but same place.

I've had this a few times. Has your BP been checked recently as it can be a sign of raised BP. Its normally nothing to worry about according to my GP though.
Speak to your GP about it just to be on the safe side.

Is it a lot of blood vessels that have burst? So it's a localised area of redness?

I ask because recently I was diagnosed with episcleritis which is a localised inflamed part of the eye. It did slowly go with help from ibuprofen.

Maybe google to see if you have that?

jellytots just googled and no, i can’t see the blood vessels more prominently - just blood. But Episcleritis is quite fascinating looking!

I had this last year, I went to the doctors to get it checked. It was nothing to worry about and cleared up with in 3 weeks.
