If the GP asks to see you after a blood test does it mean there is something wrong?

Posted a couple of weeks ago as I was worried about a lump under my sons chin.

Due to Coronavirus you can’t just see the GP, you have to do an e-consult, I did that and then they asked me to do a telephone consult. After the phone consult they requested photographs, and after I sent photographs they decided they needed to see him. After seeing him the GP said he didn’t think it was a lymph node he thought it was a saliva gland and wanted him to have a scan and some bloods. Did the bloods but two days later they said they needed to be redone as they labelled the blood incorrectly. So back we went for more bloods. That was Friday. Then today I got a call from the GP Surgery, the GP wants to speak to me tomorrow. So naturally I’m now worried that means they found a problem or is it just because he is a child?

Not always. They could just want to discuss results - even if everything came back clear they may want to monitor etc.

I’ve had Callback’s because the results were normal so the GP wanted to change tracks and consider something else.

No, it doesn't. Whatever the result, your GP will want to do a followup in order to keep working on the problem, right?
