He's not 100% was really croupy last night which was treated in a&e.

He's in bed chest is still wheezy but his heart is racing.

Is this ok?

How fast is his breathing, how many breaths per minute?

alibobins · 02/10/2007 22:16

about 40 was faster but have just given him ventolin.

Just keep an eye on him and if his ribs start pulling/sucking in when he breathes or the bit inbetween his neck and ribs take him to A&E. The ventolin should help. It's horrible when they're like this isn't it.

alibobins · 02/10/2007 22:22

Yeah I never know what to do for the best

I bet he'll be much better tommorrow they recover quite fast. It's amazing how resilient they are.

3littlefrogs · 03/10/2007 14:43

Ventolin will increase his heart rate. I would advise seeing his doctor to look at alternative treatments for his wheezing. Some children do not tolerate ventolin very well.

Twigaletto · 03/10/2007 14:48

I am sorry but i think you need to get him seen by a medic

because breathing problems and racing hearts are not things that can be accurately diagnosed online .. obviously he is having trouble breathing if still wheezy .. is he asthmatic? how old is he?

alibobins · 03/10/2007 15:12

Took him to gp and he's got another chest infection.
He's got abs and steriods

He is asthmatic he takes 3 different inhalos and singular.

Thanks everyone Gp said his high temperature and fast breathing would of caused the heart racing.
