Anyone had plastic surgery abroad? Considering breast reduction in Prague

floppybit · 08/08/2020 20:52

I know getting plastic surgery abroad sounds dodgy, but I've been thinking about getting a breast reduction for years and I can get it done in Prague for 2/3K versus 7k in the UK. Anyone been abroad for surgery and want to share your experience?

Anyone?

I never have been but definitely don't,
The reason it's so cheap is because they're untrained unsanitary and downright dangerous you'll end up with terrible scars and complications and in extreme cases they end up in fatality

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/08/2020 07:50

No I wouldn’t risk it. What size are you?.

barbrahunter · 09/08/2020 07:55

I really would not have cosmetic surgery abroad if I were you, OP. It is a big risk to your health.

floppybit · 09/08/2020 08:51

I'm a 34J. I only have narrow shoulders and I've had neck pain since I was 18, I'm now 44. I wear well fitting bras from Bravissimo but the weight of my boobs is unbearable.

I had breast augmentation in Cyprus in 2005.
No complaints, great surgeon and aftercare.

I have no direct experience but this is quite frankly ignorant scaremongering. Do you think they just let randoms in off the street to do surgery? Or do you just view any form of healthcare outside the UK as 'inferior' Hmm

@floppybit try posting in style and beauty - you'll likely get more informed responses

Yes Prague is famous for disfiguring tourists with its knife-happy, untrained doctors. I was considering Prague for cosmetic surgery previously. I didn’t bother in the end but it seemed fine. I don’t quite see why the UK would be preferable. Apparently the best place for fertility treatment is Greece!
Fluffycloudland77 · 09/08/2020 08:59

Have you spoken to the dr about this?. It can be done on the nhs some areas but not others.

Amber0685 · 09/08/2020 09:05

I had caps on my teeth in Thailand in 2014. No probs and English dentists have admired them. Just check out where you are going to go to have it done

Soontobe60 · 09/08/2020 09:12

A friend of mine had it done in turkey a few years ago. The only hassle she had was her wound got an infection and she had to see her gp in the uk who wasn't best pleased!
One thing to note, her boobs are now back to pre op size! Apparently that's very common.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/08/2020 09:16

Yes I know someone who had it done and she’s still huge but she does knock the wine back 🤷🏻‍♀️ So that was money well spent.

floppybit · 09/08/2020 09:18

@Soontobe60 @Fluffycloudland77 yes, I have heard about them growing back! Mine are constantly increasing in size so I have a horrible feeling this would happen to me!

@WaltzingBetty I don't know how to move the thread

My cousin had it done on NHS, it’s a really big operation with lots of ongoing appointments. I would see doctor first and see where you stand having it done at home. My cousin had constant back pain and had to wait about a year though, but she’s glad she had it done.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/08/2020 10:44

Report your thread to mnhq or just start a new one in style and beauty.

Women do sometimes gain weight as we age though, are you putting weight on all over or just boobs?.

I’ve had to majorly change my diet to stay the same size as I was 10 years ago and I’ve gone down a cup size.

I had my breast surgery in Prague and I was happy there. Because it is cheap it does not mean the result will be bad or you will have complications. I had great surgeon with many years of experience. Everything went good and I received at Forme Clinic even better care than in hospital in my country, you just need to be very careful and make sure you do proper research.

floppybit · 22/10/2020 18:49

@Pammy39 thanks so much for your response! Great to get the opinions of someone who has actually been and done it

Pammy is advertising. Their first language is clearly not English and she has seemingly joined just to post on a very old thread. She's probably not had surgery at all.

Please be more aware when doing research. There are countless false reviews of these clinics online. You should not be using any clinic that pays people to post about them.

nancybotwinbloom · 22/10/2020 19:17

No don't do it.

I had breast implants in the uk.

I read every review I could find on my on my surgeon. Good and bad.

I still got an infection. I was on a drain for five weeks. Nhs were great and I felt terrible as I'd paid for this to be done to me.

Im still not happy with my boobs.

Dont do it.

Pammy39 · 27/10/2020 11:32

Yes, my first language is not English, but I thought it shouldn't be a problem when I want to join the forum. I saw this thread and considered it as useful to floppybit if I shared my personal experience in Prague. I know she's looking for breast reduction surgery, and I've had breast augmentation, but I thought it might still help. Good luck.
