Do chemists still sell iron tablets in high doses?

Or do I need to see dr?.

I feel a bit tired this week, due on next week and if you pull my eye lid down it is very pale.

Well turns out you can’t buy them from the pharmacy unless the dr has advised it so I bought multi vits with iron.

@Fluffycloudland77 I had a routine appointment in May for my iron prescription but by telephone, and the dr actually said it’s cheaper for me to buy it online then from the chemist. Maybe he was trying to save me a trip out.
So I had a look online and he’s right they are so much cheaper! I ordered mine from eBay with the high iron dosage. I do think though that you should see a dr first and request a blood test as your fatigue could be due to many other things

The pharmacist said give the normal iron tablets a month then see the dr.

I have endo so probably don’t see half the blood I lose.

You need to see the doctor and have a blood test. Tiredness can have many causes and although checking for anaemia by looking inside the eyelid is taught, it is wildly unreliable and honestly no way to tell whether you are anaemic or not.

I’ll give the iron a month then I’m to the drs. I feel more energetic already, I didn’t have to drag myself through the day yesterday and I stayed up till 10pm.

I buy 200mg over the counter without perscription (it's cheaper without prescription). I bought them last on Wednesday from Boots. They are always behind the counter though but just ask for them.

Wouldn't take high dose without speaking to a doctor though
