DS (2y8m) has been vomiting off and on since the night, has drunk some squash but thrown up more than he drank. Do I keep trying to get him to drink small amounts anyway or wait until it settles down a bit?

leave him for a couple of hours, then start trying to encourage him to sip a drink - plain water or weak orange juice.

Have you got lemonade or something fizzy? Fizzy drinks sometimes stay down better. Try to get him to have very very small sips at a time. Hope he feels better soon.

Try flat lemonade or coke , tiny sips with a straw, Dioralyte of you have it.

I've got sugary squash rather than one with sweetners so if he can keep any down later at least it will have some nutritional value LOL.
Have got him propped up against pillows on a mat in front of the tv with a small pink beach bucket. Will leave him for a while to conserve a bit of energy. Thanks, he's never ill so it's been a bit of a shock!

I find this happens with children who are never ill - when they do get ill, they get really ill!
