I think its healing weird , my toes not gone back into the right shape and still feels strange. Hard to explain , but its still swollen underneath like the toe pad is double the size and theres no definition.

Even if I go to have it checked theres nothing they can do for a toe is there ???

They can re-break it, I believe - did you not go and see anyone when you broke it?

Does it hurt?

It's not a 'critical' toe, like your big toe (which helps you balance) but it doesn't sound right. I'd go to your GP's surgery and ask to see the nurse - and take her advice about what can/can't be done. (Better than sitting for hours in A&E to be told they won't do anything!)

melsy · 30/09/2007 09:08

errr no didnt , it hurt when I did it and was weird after , thought may Id jst bruised it, but others have said may be broken.

aaghhhhhh I hate my gps they awful . Although sayig that there is one nice nurse.

I cant believe I have something else now to deal with.

It too ages for my little toe to feel normal again. In fact it still feels kind of, er detatched on occasions and I broke it a year ago. well, I last broke it a year ago, I've done it fairly frequently!

Another friend did one of her middle ones at asimilar time and hers didn't heal well either. I believe she was told they could rebreak/reset it but I'm not sure she had it done.

melsy · 30/09/2007 09:13

errmmm do they give u anything before re breaking it ???? >>.

BecauseImWorthIt · 30/09/2007 09:16

dh broke his little toe - fairly obvious as it was sticking out at a right angles to his foot! - and they gave him 4 or 5 injections of local anaesthetic.

melsy · 30/09/2007 09:16

I know Im getting totally irrational , Im just totally and utterly saturated, so cant think like a normal stable adult right now.

BecauseImWorthIt · 30/09/2007 09:17

Saturated with what?!

NotADragonOfSoup · 30/09/2007 09:18

Yes, detatched. Sometimes it just doesn't feel like it's properly attached to the foot It looks fine, it doesn't hurt and it hasn't fallen off but it just feels wrong.

NotADragonOfSoup · 30/09/2007 09:19

I'm sure you'd be fine with just gas and air or breathing techniques, Melsy. It'll just smart a bit, just like chldbirth. [Snort]

melsy · 30/09/2007 09:20

OP posts:
NotADragonOfSoup · 30/09/2007 09:25

Absolutely

If it's causing a problem, I would go to your GP (can't you change surgery to a new one if they're horrid? I love mine and want to marry him )otherwise I'ma "leave it" kind of person. Hence my toe with a secret life of its own (maybe it detaches itself in the night to live a life of mystery or something)

melsy · 30/09/2007 09:31

rofl at toe with other life. Yerr I'd rather leave it , but its really uncomfortable now. Unless its healing.

Drop a can of something heavy on it. that'll help.
