I mentioned that his eyes looked yellow when I went there earlier, but because the test yesterday came back borderline they weren't too worried, but the nurse asked them to redo the test today and the results are too high. He has been put back into an incubator and is recieving phototherapy. My poor baby

I have heard that too - a nice walk in the sunshine and lots of BM (however you can get it into him).

Good luck with the feeding, persevere and he will get the hang of it. He is very small yet so may take a wee while. If you are having problems later post for Ticktok on the feeding threads - she is lovely! and very supportive.

SGK,

Sorry to hear that he has jaundice. Hopefully they will let you try to feed him tomorrow.

{{{HUGS}}} coming your way.

When I went to the hospital earlier Callum was still in the incubator, with the blue glowing light above him. I was allowed to hold him and try and feed him. They think he should be allowed out of the incubator by tomorrow

Ds had jaundice for weeks, about 5 weeks i think, possibly longer, but we knew before I had him that he would.

Ds was on a billy bed though which are great as it just looks like they are in a normal cot with a snuggly sleeping bag.

Hoping Callums jaundice clears up soon

My DS had jaundice and was on phototherapy for a week. I was sooo upset when it happened cos he wouldn't feed and had to be tube fed. However, I think we feel it more than the babies do. He was in an incubator rather than a billie bed (I had GD and he was too tubby for the babygro thingie) and he loved it! I have a really cute photo of him basking under the lights with little sunglasses on. Hope he gets well soon.
