Hi, I have been vomiting/nauseous every morning for 3 weeks now.
I am not pregnant. What can it be?

Gerd. You might have silent reflux even without heartburn. When you say vomiting -are you vomiting a lot (then please contact your GP ) . If it is just a bit of mucus then it could be reflux. You should get it treated too if it is that often.

Yes, it is mainly mucus when I wake up. I also gag the first thing when waking from bed. The gp prescribed omeprazole, but that made it worse.

Do you suffer from sinus issues? In that case it could be post nasal drip. Reflux and post nasal drip are the most common reason of mucus in the throat in the morning.

I had sinus issue two times last summer. I was prescribed antibiotic and sudafed for it. I usually have bad hayfever but haven't taken daily antihistamine as during normal summer. Thanks, I will look at post-nasal drip.

Do you smoke? I get this if I smoke alot right before bed.
Then in the morning its literally all the snot/phlegm/gunk that I bring up.
