5 month old dd has been teething since about a month old but no sign of any teeth cutting through. She is really suffering at mo and spends nearly all her waking time biting her fists, dribbling and roaring with pain. its disturbing her sleep especially daytime and as she needs a dummy to get off to sleep i spend my whole time putting it back in after she has pulled it out trying to get her fists in her mouth!
Trying ashtons and parsons powders but dont seem to be making any difference yet- only second day though. Also used Bonjela and Calpol if really bad.Any other suggestions?
Its really miserable for her as I would love to play with her more but if she is very tired through lack of sleep then she obviously isnt interested. I seem to spend my life putting her down for a sleep!!! When she isnt suffering so much she is an absolute joy- really smiley and lovely and I want to take away her pain!

My DS used to love chewing on rubber teething rings which you put in the freezer. Ambesol (I think that is correct name) is another teething gel and seemed to work better for my DS.

yes ambesol. I tried to buy this for my first child and was refused by the chemist- said it was far too strong to be used on a baby and was for adult dental pain! Yet my cousin strongly recommended it!
