I've googled but am still a bit confused about the breakdown of the cholesterol test results I got today which are as follows:
tri something or others: 0.7
HDL: 1.5
LDL: 3.4
overall ratio: 3:5
I was told they were "normal" but I've read online that over 5 is slightly raised. Then I read that it's all about the ratio, then I read that LDL shouldn't be over 3.2 (I think) so going by these findings I am showing high, but then my ratio is ok. Hence my confusion
So although I am sure it's a healthy result, I would like to know if it's just healthy and no more or if it's actually quite good. Any advance on "normal" by someone in the know?
I had never given my cholesterol a thought until DH had his done and then he nagged me every time he saw me eating cheese or somthing.
