I have a hospital appointment on Monday for a gynae exam, but it feels as if I'm taking my period, Will they still examine me?

i doubt it...when ive been booked for a smear they re scheduled because af came.ring them and let them know

I don't know how I can reschedule as af comes whenever she feels like it.

go to the appointment anyway, and see what they say.

i did have to continue with the examination ,it was the most awful thing because i had rung the receptionisnt to tell her and she said they probaby wouldnt do i but to still keep my apt,the worst thing was they gave me an old fashioned sanitary towel with the loops and i had on a shortish dress with bikini knickers !i would think it depended how urgent your apt is

I'll be ok I wear BIG pants! I suppose it makes sense to go as erratic periods is one of the reasons I'm going. I'm not squemish about being examined if it does come, but if they reschedule I'll have to take more time off work.

i was also kind enought to let a trainee doc[ female} examine me as well ,it ended with hysterectomy 3 weeks later !but i was estatic as the urgency was they thought they could feel a tumour.it wasnt,just a large fibroid like a grapefruit !
