copper coil or mirena?feedback pls......

Presently on cerazette but putting on weight and spotty!so would like to change but not sure which coil....

I am on copper coil and its great. Slightly unconfortable to fit, but no excess hormones circulating, regular periods and no spottiness/weight gains.

I've got a Mirena (I'm on my 2nd one, 1st one in for 5years, this one has been in for 1year)Uncomfortable to fit, uncomfortable for the first 12 or so hours, no spots, I've put on a stone in 6 years, probably an age thing! Best of all hardly any periods, maybe 1-2 a year & very light.

Mirena here - and love it. True I have put on some weight but I have been eating a lot too so I couldn't say it was an effect of the coil!
Didn't find the fitting that uncomfortable, and was fine after. Took about 6 months for the effect on my periods to even out, but now have minimal/no periods, and have to use my ovulation pains to keep track of where I am in the cycle.
