Hi. Has anyone ever had this done and what was your experience like? How was pain after anesthetic wore off? I may have to have it done as I had a filling which was quite big and close to the nerve and it's really hurting now. Im really worried though!

Had 2 of these done, although a while ago. The actual procedure was ok, but I do remember being in some discomfort and unable to eat anything which wasn't mushy for a couple of days. But pain certainly didn't go on for more than a few days, and was preferable to nasty toothache I had previously. Good luck

I've had several done!!!!!!!!! The last one was as a result of the nerve going beserk after having a filling done (I have BAD problems with my teeth) I can honestly say I don't remember it hurting afterwards was in agony beforehand! It's not pleasant having it done as it takes a while but your tooth will be completely numbed so you won't feel a thing. Once the nerve is removed that actual tooth can't cause you pain ever again although you sometimes may think it does but it will be referred pain IYSWIM
