Do you think my 3 year old's weight sounds right?

Not sure how tall he is but he is taller than quite a few 3 year lds, people often mistake him for four.
He weighs 2 stone 9lbs.
His tummy sticks out but I think that's normal?
Often 3-4 year old trousers feel a bit tight round his weight and due to dh been overweight (or more accurately in the obese category) I am a bit more concerned than i otherwise would be iyswim

My 3.5yr old DS1 is about 2stone 10lbs, is tall for his age and age 3-4yr clothes sometimes hang off him, other styles don't, he has a pot belly (esp later on in the day!) but also a very visible rib cage.
He was 8lb 13oz at birth, off the scale in terms of height and was always 98th centile (at least!) up until he was 2.
He has a healthy diet, loads of exercise and I am not worried in the slightest.

DS2 (18mths) doesn't eat much at all, was 10lb 11oz at birth and very much built in the rugby player mode, he is also 98 centile. He has a humungous waist and big bum (gorgeous though it is!) and trousers that fit round his waist are way too long for him.

As long as you know your DS has a healthy diet and enough exercise I truly wouldn't worry.

I'm shocked that some of you guys are shocked I spoke of stones and pounds
I always know how many stone I am, never any thing else
in all the celeb mags they talk of Posh weighing 6 stone etc
am I really behind the times?!!?

Lucy - not so much not using stones and pounds (I only know my weight and height in stones, lbs and 5ft) - but once my children stop being babies (and therefore weighted on a semi-regular basis) I (for some reason unbeknown to me) switch over to KG's
