And if so what was it like?
Would you recommend it?
What do we need to consider?

Me and a couple of friends are considering it, thought mumsnet was the best place to ask for bottom advice .

not as fulfilling as a manicure or half a head of highlights

mosschops30 · 24/09/2007 15:33

is that a rough guess suzywong??

I dont need highlights and have just pulled off fake nails. Was thinking of something more adventurous.

Apparently the doctor tells me you can have between 7-9lbs of debris in your colon

but if you wash it out, a few hours later it will be replaced by debris that is currently higher up!

Is that true? He told me I would only need one session and that as long as I took his post-treatment advice and took pro-biotics then i probably wouldnt need another session

I had it once years ago and it was weird but fely lighter afterwards but don't think I was.Strange but not unpleasant sensation and lovely flat stomach afterwards if you don't mind the embarressmebnt factor

lulumama · 24/09/2007 15:44

what about all the natural balance of bacteria in your gut that will be washed away ?

suzywong · 24/09/2007 15:46

why not get yourself a nice pair of shoes instead?

I was disappointed tbh, but then I have a fine and regular bowel ordinarily. If you're a bit backed up then you may feel the benefit

mosschops30 · 24/09/2007 15:49

apparently I will feel physically and mentally better or the man could just be full of erm shite

noddyholder, do you mind me asking why you tried it, and did they tell you you wouldnt need it again? TBH i always thought it had to be a regular (excuse the pun) thing

I tried it because I was on one of my many weight loss missions. It was about 1991 though!I was told you could have it up to 4 times a year but I didn't bother as I never committed to anything in those days!Funnily enough I have been thinking about it again recently

noddyholder · 24/09/2007 17:15

A lot of people say it gives them a feeling of freedom and lightness which is always good x

mosschops30 · 24/09/2007 22:04

thanks noddy. I'm going to give it a try as long as my two friends are still brave enough to go as well
