Cauterising cervical erosion

Ok, have name changed for this one.

Had silver nitrate applied to my cervix on friday, as had some erosion or something whcich was causing a bit of bleeding after sex. I assumed that cauterising was a pretty instant thing, ob/gyn didn't say anything about aftercare, thought 24 hours was pretty safe, so on saturday night decided to "get back in the saddle" as it were .

Clearly it wasn't a good idea, texas chain saw levels of gore (I thought I'd come on!).

I know I'm a f***n eejit, take that as read, but my q is: will it heal up again naturally now? Or will I have to go back to the o/g and admit what a prat I am and have it all done again?
