Would you bother a dr over this at the moment - gross photo warning

I’ve got about 15 or so of these over my back. I’ve had them about a month or so. Would it be worth me troubling a gp at the moment? They are sore.

Yes get a GP appointment they will probably do it via video or want you to send those pictures. Theres a chance they could get infected or inflamed even more if left.

I think I would mention this is to the GP, yes. Any other symptoms at all? Looks a little like shingles.

I would contact them. Nothing to stop you emailing the photo over if they are only doing phone appts.

Yes I would contact a GP, if they’ve been there a month and not healing then somethings going on. Have you got any idea what might have started them? Walking in woodland more? Insect bites? Allergic reaction?

I’m t1 diabetic and despite being very very well controlled and having no compilations otherwise I find my skin doesn’t heal very well. I don’t know what started them. Maybe stress from lockdown.

I am a Dr yes,yes,yes. This is absolutely the sort of thing that GP needs to be aware of and manage particukarly if you are t1 diabetic. I would give you some cream/ anti biotics but want ro know if it didn't improve in 2/3 days. Please call

Could be a staph infection? Definitely talk to GP about this. They need treating.

I’ve had a couple of interactions with our GP since lockdown and worried I was bothering them at such a busy and stressful time already! Every time I’ve said this they have assured me that they are here for everyone and want to help all cases. If anything the move to phone triage for everything means that they have more time to actually see cases that need face to face interaction.

My doctor surgery is quieter than ever right now. Phoned yesterday for a prescription and didn't even need to wait in a queue, receptionist just answered and prescription available same day. Had to phone for something different today and was given a phone appointment within an hour or so. Once I spoke to the doctor they booked me in for a face to face appointment at the end of the week. Under normal circumstances none of this would happen and I'd have massive waits for appointments to the point I'd think it wouldn't be worth going. Doctors are available, definitely use them.

Can't speak for everyone but my mum works in another surgery and she says they're so quiet to the point there's barely anything to do. Staff are actually being given extra time off because there's so little work to share between them.

Don't wait. Go and be seen. Doctors are available and you're absolutely not troubling anyone.

I've had a few skin complaints recently (new onset) and have contacted my GP surgery three times in the last couple of months. Each time I've had a telephone consultation. I also e-mailed photos on the first occasion and sent photos via a link on a text message on the last consultation. It's probably not as good as them seeing the skin issues in person, but it's good that I can send photos without having to go in.
