Steve will finally get his brain scan on monday.

after me phoning the hospital three times this week he is to have scan on monday at 3pm, now to sort out child care.
they did say he would get his scan in 7-10 days, he will get it on day 20.
if all goes ok with scan he will start radiotherapy and chemo on thursday.

Hope you're making progress and you'll be on your way soon. Men eh.

DH got a full schedule of all teh radio appointments for hte full 6 weeks. you need it so you can plan the meds. He rarely had to wait ... His were mostly in the morning and that worked best. Think he started midweek too. doesn't really matter.

wellSteves mum phoned up and helped talk him into going, appointment at 3 all done for 3.30. they have given us the thursday treatment time and said we will get the other times on thursday.
Guess what time we have been given, bearing in mind they put a note on file to ask for morning appts if possible due to three kids and childcare issues.

well, it's nice to know that the NHS takes into account personal circumstances

so will you get results of this scan on Thursday?

very child friendly todays scan was at three still we should be grateful that they are giving him treatment.
no results the scan was a dummy run for the radiographers to make sure everything lines up ok and that the head mould still fits ok.
steve should get a scan four weeks into the treatment. then they decide if treatment effective or not.

yes glad to say all went well, the real test is thursday first day of radiotherapy and also first day of chemo.

we will get all 30 treatment times given to us on thursday, fingers crossed that they are not all afternoons.
