I was OK this morning, now I can't actually stand up straight. Dh is away, and dd is 13 months. I've got an emergency appointment with a chiropractor tomorrow morning, I'm dosed up on paracetamol, and I don't know how I'm going to survive until tomorrow morning.

Poor poor you - I totally sympathise as I have suffered from on-and-off lower back pain for years. Do you have any of those heat patches? Or could you strap a hot water bottle on - I find it helps to ease the muscles a bit.

You should have taken Ibuprophen as it helps reduce inflamation, perhaps take some in a couple of hours. also do you have any valium/diazepam in the house as this is a muscle relaxant too and will help ease the problem.

put cold compress on it not hot water bottle as this will only add to inflammation i'm always suffering with my back cold helps ease inflammation heat brings out inflammation just advise i was given from gp but also you dont quite know what you have done so just take plaenty of anti inflammatries and relax as much as you can

I'll take ibuprofen later, before I go to bed. I thought I had some diclofenac, which I know you can take with paracetamol, but I've put it somewhere so safe I can't find it, grrrrrr. Feeling really bad for dd, because she doesn't understand why I won't pick her up unless I have to
