NHS trust won’t let me post a review

I had a bad experience the other day at a hospital. I tried to add a review and they have emailed me to say that they think I’m an employee of the trust or that I have I have connections beyond being a patient so they are not approving my review. I had never visited this trust before as I'm new to the area, I definitely don’t work there and I don’t know anyone who does. Im angry that they won’t let me leave my review.

Has anyone had this experience before?

Yes! But there's nothing you can do.

Especially now the NHS "heroes" are working. I hate that term makes me cringe same as Armed Forces personnel being called "heroes" and I am from a military family/spouse.

You can't say anything bad about them (NHS) at the moment, you've been silenced.

I do love the fact that 10 weeks ago everyone was asking for PALS and baby deaths in hospitals were horrific and under investigation through mas systematic failures, women's autonomy and choices hampered or concerns dissmisssed but now the NHS have been absolved of this poor behaviour for now 🤷🏻‍♀️

I appreciate what they are doing, but myself and many are not applauding them with a spoon and a saucepan. Suppose it depends on your personal experience of the NHS, mine as you can tell has been negative.

Write it in as a complaint instead.

In February I had an MRI test which had been refused me for the last 3 years. The results came through to GP within 48 working days and I had a tel.call from secretary telling me exactly what had been told me 3 years ago which was " you have normal wear and tear that everybody at your age gets , there is nothing to be done for you .

I contacted PALS to request a copy of the MRI results and was told I should contact medico-legal??

I have not done this as all I want is a copy of the results not sue anybody. Anyone had the same thing happen?

Write to your MP who can raise this with the NHS board on your behalf

What would make a difference to you in terms of resolution? leaving a review of an NHS service isn't quite like a business where people choose to take their custom elsewhere. Although patients have choice in theory, most will just go to their most convenient local trust.

So do you want an apology, lessons to be learned, systems reviewed? Whatever it is, ask for it directly.

Same thing happened to me after yet another awful experience at my local hospital. Tried to post the story of exactly what happened to me and got an email telling me it wasn't helpful at this time. You can post on google and they cant stop you.

I want the persons responsible to receive more training as they didn’t know what they were doing.

Good grief. Seriously? It took three years to get an MRI? And you haven't been given the results? What kind of BS is that? Is this standard for the NHS?

Where are you trying to leave the review? nhs.uk? Or Care Opinion? I would try posting it on the other site, but I would also make a formal complaint to the Trust, both about the original issue and their apparent attempt to suppress your feedback.
