Diarrhoea (sp?) in ds, 15 months, due to antibiotics - what do I do? Do I need to do anything?

According to my family health book thingy I should phone the doctor to check whether he shoudl continue with the AB's. Do I have to? He's had loads of AB's in the past, never reacted like this though. He's not unwell with it, still eating/drinking okay. Not sure what to do!

Are they the same abs as he's had before?

emkana · 18/09/2007 19:07

Yes he's had these several times before, always okay on them before.

You could try a probiotic if it's not too severe. Mild diarrhoea is so common with antibiotics.

emkana · 18/09/2007 19:10

Where can I get a probiotic that's suitable for him?

Try a health food shop or if not yakult or similar yoghurt drinks are OK.

The homeopathic remedy gaertner helped get my dd2's digestion back on track after a recent course of ABs. One a night for a week was what the homeopath recommended.
