Needing to lose weight - why do I eat more cr*p?

I am getting fatter by the day and keep resolving to start dieting tomorrow. I ate a bar of hazelnut chocolate because it was in the cupboard ( don't know who bought it) followed closely by an Echo chocolate biscuit. Watched a programme tonight about women resorting to liposuction to change shape and thought to myself 'they just have no will power'.
Have just finished a mug of hot chocolate with a pile of scooshy whipped cream on top. I just seem to have an insatiable desire to eat total cr*p.
What will it take to stop me stuffing my face? Any tips?

Have lost 2 lbs today - only 1 1/2 to go to get back to what I was before Xmas. Isn't veggie soup fantastic? Except for the wind Jasper

well done mears. I have 2 1/2 to go to get back to my pre eating a gigantic tin of quality streets and several dozen mince pies weight.
The veg. soup is fantastic - except that I was a bit heavy handed with the green chillies in my recent batch

Hello!

I can relate to you all, about the constant struggle with food, especially after putting on another half a stone over Christmas

I decided this year enough is enough Ive got a bridesmaid dress to fit into this June and at this rate they will be letting the seams out not taking them in! so I joined a Rosemary Conley fitness programme and have cut out simple things like margarine and sugar etc and only eat things with less than 4% fat per 100 grams and its working a treat.

In two weeks Ive lost 4lb and its so easy to stick to - I still eat chocolate mouse and crisps and sandwiches and eat indian food and pasta etc but just buying it now from the Healthy Eating range at Tesco and Marks and Spencers is cheaper than I thought it would be. So when you go to buy your salad dressing or choc mouses take a side step to the healthy eating range, tastes lovely and you will lose the weight along with some form of exercise (excersise is included in the rosemary conley programme when you go to a class)

Oh and as I hear my food (especially choc etc) screaming 'eat me, eat me' from the kitchen so i had to literally remove the yule logs, chocs and treats from my house to my parents.

Dont know if this will help anyone, i hope so! I havent done it before now as the classes are £4.50 a week and I thought it was a lot and had better things to spend my money on but you get lots of freebies, a weekly weigh in (theres the motivation) and an exercise class and its social and the feel good factor is great.

Crunchie, how comes SW works for everyone except me? I started on 7th Jan and stuck to the diet by the letter - result was a 2.5 lb gain, I am ashamed to say I burst into tears and had to be consoled by the group. I was so disappointed though. Everyone I know loses weight on SW , why not me? The same with the Atkins diet, 2 weeks rigidly and not one ounce lost. I am about 1 and a half or 2 stone heavier than I should be so the weight is there to lose. The doctor did a series of tests and found no medical reason why it wont come off. Help!

Was surfing and found this thread that I started 2 years ago . I think I am at least 3/4 stone heavier than when I posted this initially. What is going to make me get a grip? Scuse me while I put more wine in my glass

Haven't posted on this thread before, but could've written the initial post. Seem to have weaned myself off iced gems ...but onto assorted other crap. Feel like poo and need to stop eating rubbish. Want to get fitter. Am not even 30. I'm not huge (though my breastfeeding boobs are enormous and make me look bigger), but I just feel 'squashy' all over and I HATE it!!!

Mears, get yourself down to WW and find out what you can eat and should eat.

You need to find out why you are eating what you are eating. It's nothing to do with your stomach, it's in your head.

WW do a mini survey of why we are eating so much rubbish and mine came back that basically I ate crap because it's there. I now routinely throw away food (big new thing for me).

Think I need to try something else. Am a Gold member of weightwatchers would you believe

Can't face going there again.
