I don't know

if it is stomach bug I always think it could be dodgy to keep it all in - I mean the bug needs to work itself out doesn't it?

I really don't think you can do anything without gp, sorry

NotAnOtter · 17/09/2007 22:15

yes i know it is dodgy....

feeldoomed and one day i may be able to tell you about the farce that is my life right now...

Sorry to hear about your predictament - I think it is what they call sod's law.

I once asked a pharmacist about giving a toddler something for the squits and they said there is nothing except oral rehydration drinks which sometimes help. Something like Dioralyte. Most medication starts at 6yrs.

Some books mention the BRAT diet of banana, rice, apple sauce and toast but sorry F& Z has already mentioned that.

FWIW I asked a doctor about taking Imodium during a bug and he said take it. Your bodies immune system deals with the bug - you don't have to worry about getting rid of it by letting it all 'flow'!

I hope he is miraculously better tomorrow.

pinkbubble · 17/09/2007 22:32

I hope you found something to wear tomorrow, and that it all goes well, I also hope that your sons "squits" stop too.

elizabethsmum · 17/09/2007 22:36

Medised has worked for us before- think it is to do with the anti-histamine in it.
HTH

NotAnOtter · 17/09/2007 23:01

might be worth a try - thankyou have some medised so if he wakes again may dose!
