Someone I know has contracted this infection and we are trying to find more information? Apparently it gives the sufferer diarrhea and I couldn't find much else. The GP also had never heard of it. Can anyone help? Thanks

I was curious.... Aeromonas hydrophila come up on a quick google as a fairly rare penicillin resistant bacteria that requires specific antibiotics to treat. Caviae strain is mentioned as an even more rare strain of Aeromonas bacteria... and that was found to cause skin infections. It all sounds very unpleasant. I hope they feel better soon!!
