Constipated DS (almost 2)

I think that DS ate too much sweetcorn last weekend and he's rather bunged up now. He eats a healthy diet, but hasn't poo'd for a couple of days now.

Has anyone got any ideas for helping him?

Thanks

Dried apricots, prunes/prune juice and lots of water.

Thanks LRWG.

He has 2 prunes for breakfast every morning but at the moment will only drink milk (stopped bf 8 weeks ago).

He's hardly eaten any of his breakfast this morning so have kept the prunes for him to eat during the day.

If he is normally regular it may be worth a call to your GP if he seems in any pain. You can buy Lactulose from the chemist - it is good at drawing more water into the bowel and softening stools, but is not absorbed by the body so great for babies. DD (16 months) has been taking it for almost a year now as she is extremely constipated.
