Strange smell/taste in nose/mouth

Hi guys, just wondered if anyone could relate/offer any advice?

Christmas before last I got really sick to the point where I ended up sobbing at the doctor asking for antibiotics (which were refused).

Ever since then I have had this really awful smell the whole time that feels like it’s in my sinuses. I can always smell it and sometimes there’s a taste too. I was very worried that others could smell it on my breath but I’m assured by the dentist that’s not the case.

I’ve seen the doctor who’s said it’s probably nothing. It’s just really annoying now, anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in anticipation. X

Nasal drip? Tonsil Stone?

Have you tried a nasal rinse? I'd try that for a few days. If that doesn't improve then try Beconase nasal spray for a few weeks and see if that helps.

What kind of smell is it ?
Did you have a sinus / cold at Xmas ?
Possibly you have symptoms which are the start of you losing some / all your sense of smell / taste
Go back to doc , if caught early then it may be recoverable with meds

Thanks all, I can’t really explain the smell, except to say it’s unpleasant. Kind of mustardy?
I’ll look into these suggestions. Thanks so much! X
