Dd is prescribed lactose free milk and I want to check it is nutricious enough for her age, also need some advice on introducing dairy/lactose products to her diet. Any advice on where to look please ?

You should have a dietician helping you with this. Have you not been referred?

bensmum4 · 13/09/2007 16:07

No, we have not been referred, just muddled along, Bf for 11 months whilst taking no dairy or lactose myself, then GP prescribed the lactose free milk.

I use LactoFree milk and as far as I am aware it is just as nutritious as regular cows milk.

Sainsbury's do a Free From selection which is quite good.

BarbieGirl, Is that a formula type milk ? We dont have a Sainsbury's near us.

bensmum no it is not a formula milk. How old is your DS?

You can also buy it at Tesco and all the big supermarkets. It is where all the milk's are - near the Soya milk.

Dd is 1yr in just over a week, hence my concern that the formula she is being prescribed might not be enough for her now.
