Had tonsillitis recently and was given ABs (10 day course). Took me by surprise but improved within a day of ABs, within a couple of days pretty much clear and completed my course as instructed.
5 days after finishing the ABs and it came back! Luckily got a GP appointment over the phone and I’ve been prescribed another course of ABs (different type this time).
Was focused on getting treatment, especially during this time with strain on health services I just appreciated getting a prescription sorted so didn’t think to ask any questions. But now wondering how/why it has recurred?
I’ve been googling with little in the way of informative results, beyond suggesting I throw away my lip balms and toothbrush, so just wondering if anyone else has had similar or knows about these things!
