I have heard good reports about slimmers world however I suffer social phobia and hate being in groups/classes of any kind so I am thinking of doing the slim fast diet. The only thing is when I tried it a few years ago I was hungry within 20 minutes of having the slimfast shakes. They don't seem to fill me up.

What has worked gor everyone?

When do start to loose the weight? 1 week aftet starting a diet 2 weeks or more?

I am off on hols in 4 weeks time and really want to loose about 9lbs, is this possible do you think? There is no way I am wearing a bikini with my flabby belly . I suppose I will have to ditch the wine for the next month too won't I?

another vote for slimming world. it is basically a healthy eating plan so is good for you (!) and sustainable and you are sure to loose weight on it.

barbiegirl if you do a structured diet (any of them really) and bump up your exercise (cycling or running best IMO) that should be no problem.

Another vote for WW. Because it is a whole lifestyle thing - teaches you how to change your eating habits etc. You can eat pretty much anything so it is very flexible.

Worked really well for me (24 pounds in about 3 months) - and because it changed my lifestyle it meant once I 'stopped' I didn't put any weight back on (except that I'm pregnant again!)

You can also do it on line so you don't have to go to groups.
