baby acne

Hi - I have a 5wk old DD who has what looks like v bad acne on face, chest and top of back - it becomes quite red at times. Have done a few searches on internet and seems normal but am alarmed that may take 6 mths or more to clear! Anyone any experience of this? My HV said that should go after 6 wks but it has got much worse in last week

Both my kids had it as babies & it got really bad for about a week or so before starting to clear up. Was gone by 8 weeks or so. HTH

ds1 had it for about 4 weeks (from 2 weeks old til he was 6weeks)

consoled myself by thinking that I'd rather he had acne as a baby, instead of in his teens, lol

YEs my little boy had this in the early months-he is now 2.5years old. It goes away soon enough-just looks a bit unsightly for a few weeks. It is nothing to worry about.
