Anyone know what causes it??? My right big toe has been quite numb (but not totally numb) since friday afternoon, but I dont know what is causing it, I had flat shoes on so I dont think it was too much pressure on my toe(if that makes sense),

Any ideas??

Question:
I have got numbness on my right foot, big toe. What is the possible cause?

Doctor's Reply:
If the numbness is isolated to just your big toe it is likely due to pressure from a shoe in the area of the big toe joint. We see this frequently in patients who have a bunion deformity. One of the nerves to the big toe passes along the side of the big toe joint and shoe pressure can cause this nerve to go numb. You might consider changing shoes to see if it helps. Also consider see a foot specialist in your area.
