watery diarrhea and cramps

Hi all

Has anyone ever experienced these sorts of symptoms please?

On Thursday lunchtime last week I started with a really upset stomach - almost felt really bloated and gassy but I could barely pass any gas. I was constipated but managed to “go” Friday morning and noticed mucus in the stool. Since then have had watery diarrhoea once a day Along with the cramps, sometimes they can be quite sharp and painful but most of the time my tummy just feels tender.

From a bit of googling (my doctors not accepting non urgent appointments at the mo -obviously!) it points to IBS, but can this just develop seemingly overnight?! I’ve not noticed any blood so I’m not too worried yet but it’s starting to concern me that it’s not really letting up...

Thanks all :)

I have this, if it continues it seemingly started overnight.

Pharmacist can give you advice initially.

I'm trying Imodium later so I'll let you know if that relieves the pain for me.

How constipated were you? Did you definitely go well? Very watery diarrhoea can actually be overflow while you remain constipated. Can you get a gp telephone consultation to discuss. There are so many things it might be, it’s not good to guess and take something thinking it will help, when in fact it might make you worse.

I wasn't constipated beforehand TBH - don't feel bad about phoning doctor, that's what they're there for.

Took imodium half hour ago and no probs, it's supposed to take up to an hour to work. I just want the pain to stop more than anything else.
