Childrens Flu Vaccination

Oooggs · 04/10/2004 19:03

Do any of your children under 1years old have the flu vaccination? Is it avaliable to them? If it is avaliable, why don't they have it?

Sorry so many questions, we have been offered it for DS nearly 10mths as part of a trial.

Any reports, concerns or ideas would be gratefully received.

PS - I have the Flu vaccination myself as I am asthmatic.

My main concern would be to check the vaccination is one of the mercury-free variety.

Otherwise, I would probably be for it. Children under-2 are at risk from flu (in fact, my friend who is an epidemiolist informs me that they're trying to encourage all under-2s to have the vaccine to try and cut the flu-related deaths) and a 2-year-old very near me died of the flu last year.
