Shortness of breath?

Husband has woke up this morning with shortness of breath, and bad back pain the last few days. He's been tossing and turning all night, don't think he has a temp though. Should I call 111? He's in his mid 30's and vapes 🤦🏼

Small amount of chest pain also

Definitely call 111 or go straight to A and E.

He's getting all arsey with me about calling anyone (out of character for him). I'm in healthcare (not Clinical but seen plenty of stuff) and he normally defers to my better judgement on this kind of thing.

Urgh!

If you phone 111 I’m sure they’ll say go to A&E
Best to get checked out rather than leave it.

Layoverlife · 11/03/2020 07:12

111 will send an ambulance with those symptoms, but if at all possible could you take DH to A&E youreself? It would be a huge help to a very over stretched Service at the moment.

PeninsulaPanic · 11/03/2020 07:45

yep, other posters have given you the best - in fact, the only - advice, in the circumstances. don't let him talk himself out of the potential seriousness of his symptoms, sounds like he's a bit in denial. hopefully they can either give him the treatment he needs, or put his mind at rest.

Are you able to take him in?

innuendobingo · 11/03/2020 10:03

They came out in 4 minutes in the end, I called around 7:15. Possibility of pericarditis or something else. Just trying to arrange some childcare for the pm!

Best of luck getting the childcare sorted @innuendobingo, so glad to hear that your DH is getting medical attention. Do what you can to look after yourself too Flowers
