Really weird farting question.

Farting.

When blowing out the front is 'fanny farting'. I know what that is, and what it feels like. This is NOT that.

I am normal, hot, smelly, farting but it really really feels like it is blowing down my fanjo instead of coming out the back door.

Is there any way this could be happening and not me going batty, and is it normal (like there's a connection, or oh, I don't know, anything)

I've no idea but the late crowd love this sort of thread... so bumping for them.

Perhaps it's the way you're sitting.

See either your GP, your midwife or a GUM clinic. I have vaguely heard of something like this, and it usually means there is some kind of damage to your perineum or to the wall between your rectum and your vagina.

(I'm not a medic but I have an annoyingly retentive memorey for all the really revolting medical pages in proleporn mags like Take A Break)

no no no it's not a medical issue - just sometimes the way the air exits your trouser region - sometimes it whooshes up the back of the pants and sometines it whooshes out the front flapping your fanjo en route. Happens to me quite often, always quite funny, could be to do with the way you're sitting or tightness of trousers etc.

if i am sitting, sometimes the fart comes from the bum but sort of travels forwards along the crease as it is continual really isnt it?

So there it is - either you're sitting badly, wearing too-tight trousers or your vaginal wall has a hole in it.

thank you all. I hadn't realised until you said, but it does only happen when I'm sitting down. So guess that's the mystery solved. . I shall have to tip to one side (a la dog cocking a leg against a lamppost) every time I get rumbly of bowel.

Actually I was very close to having this problem. Ds was big enough to tear the wall between the vag and rectal passage so if it hadn't healed properly I could have been pooing out the wrong hole. I've read about other people that this has happened to.
