ds twelve month teething bad diorea has thrown up has a bad cold as far as we can tell and getting grizzly and basicaly not wanting anyone touching him not sleeping well (i put that down to being ill)and even though was walking quite well on his own has started tumbling and tripping over stuff he usualy walks around has been of his food a bit but still eating and drinking water fine so what do you think nothing in common just come down with a couple of things at once or get him to the doctors tia

He may have an ear infection which can cause all the things you said including falling over! Poor thing, id be inclined to take him to gp probably needs antibiotics if it is infection!

hi mtj

hmm, in your shoes i would phone nhs direct, but then i tend to worry...

sorry, not much help, but if you phone they may well put your mind at rest and are definitely better placed to let you know if it is something or nothing.

hope he gets better soon.

thaks both i will phone the doc in the morning and get him in for a emergancy appoinment not sure it will do and good the last infection he had they never gave him anything becuase they want to build up the natural imune and not get imune to antibiotics guess i just wanted to make sure he was ill and not just have side affects of the teething

Our DS becomes very clumsy and tumbles when he's tired so if your DS isn't sleeping well that could probably explain it. It sounds to me like he is generally crotchetty and not well. If he's eating and drinking and (I assume) hasn't a temperature then I wouldn't worry too much - to me he hasn't the symptoms of a really unwell child. I would get him checked out in the morning though to put your mind at rest, and in the meantime use the calpol/nurofen to make him feel a little better. Really hope that he's feeling better soon [smile}.
