I really struggle with health anxiety which has gotten worse recently as we’ve had a couple of scares. DH has been referred to a urologist for investigation of a very small area of some funny-looking pale skin on his penis. It looks fungal to me (have some healthcare training) and 2 GPs initially thought so too, however, cream/tablets have only faded it and made the small patches a bit smaller and it hasn’t gone completely (weeks on). A third gp didn't really know what it was but said unlikely to be thrush as hasn’t gone and it could be a condition usually seen in men over 50 where white patches develop and there is a risk these could develop into pre-cancerous cells in 10+ years. DH is only 34 so this was a bit of a shock. I am now beside myself with worry we are going to be told he has penis cancer and DH is pretty depressed about it. Please help!!!
