Teething, how quickly will it come through?

DS' first tooth is starting to come through, today he was gumming like mad and I can just feel the very tip of the tooth breaking through the gum (front bottom tooth on the right). Just curious as to how long it will probably be until the tooth is through fully?

Will no-one answer my teething question?

I don't know the answer, but I am also waiting. Lo has been drooling with swollen gums for what seems like weeks now, but if you can feel the tooth on the gum I'm sure it won't be long. At least he can't bite you yet!

I'm waiting too. DS in varying degrees of irritation/agony on and off for two weeks. I can feel the blighters, and see the top right but it's been like that for about 10 days now. Very boring and a right nuisance for DS.

The tooth has come through a teeny tiny bit more since Friday, and I can see a second one next to it. So when do I start brushing them, do I wait til they're through totally or just poking through the gum?
