Undescended testis

DS 6yrs has undescended testis which was coming down about a year ago.

He has been given an appointment at local childrens hospital in February 2008.

Should we go private and be seen in two weeks or wait it out? GP has said that it's not urgent.

I agree .. go back to the GP and complain, that is too long to be seen. If nothing is done go private.

There is a history with the testis. It was compromised when he was 11 weeks when he has an inguinal hernia which was repaired. They did say that it may not grow but it did and was coming down up until last year.

When the GP examined him he said that he couldn't feel much and it felt like it was atrophied.

I shall get back to the hospital, bypass GP altogether, and take it from there.
